Why Dustin? Dustin Thomas is a lawyer who understands people. Plain and simple.

After graduating law school, Dustin went to work for a law firm in Hattiesburg. There he did various types of work including insurance defense work. He learned what insurance companies would do to win and the seemingly endless pursuit of crushing people who go against them. Luckily he also had the opportunity to represent people and the firm learned that insurance defense was not what Dustin has a passion for, it was people. He was very successful at suing insurance companies while other insurance companies were being defended one floor above.

In 2001, Dustin left the Hattiesburg firm and went to work for in the District Attorney’s office as an Assistant District Attorney in the 19th Circuit Court District consisting of Jackson, George and Greene Counties. Dustin prosecuted criminal cases of all types and kinds including helping to send a man to death row for murder.

In late 2003, Dustin was contacted by a former Judge and asked to join the law firm he was at. Dustin joined the Ocean Springs law firm and rose to the position of partner while honing skills as a personal injury attorney, criminal defense attorney and family law attorney. Dustin found his calling. Helping people at their worst times because he understands the worst times.

In July of 2009, Dustin opened his own law firm in his hometown of Pascagoula, Mississippi. He invites you to come in and talk to a lawyer who understands those that work for an hourly wage and the business owner. He understands criminal law because he knows the criminal justice process from start to finish and knows how it works for some and fails others. He knows the jobs of a prosecutor and a police officer and he knows when they have failed to do their jobs or when they have become overzealous in the pursuit of the truth and justice.

Dustin knows the pain, frustration and agony of injury and death in accidents. He understands the lengths insurance companies will go to as they try to make sure that injured persons and families are not compensated fairly. He knows how to help the injured and the loved ones who have lost a family member due to the negligence of someone else. He knows how to make sure insurance companies keep the promises they make in their policies. He knows how to explain to a jury the pain and reality of day to day living with a personal injury or a wrongful death case.

Dustin invites you to call his office for an appointment. All personal injury consultations are free. The consultation fee on other matters is $100 for a one-hour consultation during which Dustin will discuss your options and any representation needed or he will do the unthinkable and tell you when you do not need a lawyer but can take care of something yourself if you wish. Dustin invites you to come in and talk to lawyer who can say "I understand" and actually does.
